Meet Tokyo Art in Ueno Park!

Ueno is a town of art in Tokyo, Japan. The most important museums are here, from ancient to modern. In early spring, this is one of the best place to see sakura, cherry blossoms. If you’re interested in enjoying art in Tokyo, just stop by here for a day. We also have a zoo!

This huge monument is at the National Museum of Nature and Science, representing a blue whale. It also has a model of a dinosaur, very popular among young children.

An art college is nearby the museums and an old Western music hall is also here. This is the oldest Western style music hall made in wood in Japan. Now open to public as a museum and they also have concerts.

Around the museums in the Ueno Park, you’ll be able to find old downtown streets. Ameyoko Shopping Street is the most famous for traditional foods, people get together here from all over Japan to find something special.
